My greatest wish for people is to enjoy their life. And you cannot enjoy your life if you do not feel good in your body. Chiropractic is a natural way of re-calibrating the body’s master control system, the nerve system, in a way that enhances every other system’s innate, self-healing capacity. A nerve system that is free from tension wil l produce radiant health, enhance your quality of life, and allow freedom from a myriad of symptoms.
It is well known that the brain, which depends on the spinal cord and the spinal nerves to communicate its commands, controls every cell, tissue and function in the body. The nerve system controls the information and the power that fuels all human function. Your body’s innate intelligence orchestrates the life in you by communicating through your brain, spinal cord and nerves. When all of the brain’s intelligent messages arrive at their preprogrammed destinations, the body enjoys health and an elevated sense of well-being. When this communication is inhibited somewhere along way, ideal health is impossible. This all-important nerve system is protected by the skull and bones of the spine (the vertebrae). Misalignments of these bones (vertebral subluxation) can result in interference with the normal transmission of the brain’s electrical impulses. Many obvious and subtle life events can result in subluxations, ie. prolonged sitting at the computer, poor posture, repetitive motion, and car/bike accidents, just to name a few. If we take stock of what are days are composed of we would absolutely find plenty of opportunities for stress induced misalignments to occur. Usually we are not aware of them until our body feels pain or discomfort. That is our body’s way of telling us there is a problem that we need to attend to. A chiropractic adjustment is a very gentle, specific force that is applied to a vertebra that is subluxated (misaligned and causing nerve interference). This gentle force is designed to better align your spinal column, restore proper motion to your spinal joints, thereby reducing muscles spasms and tension. Once the vertebra is in proper alignment your body and brain are able to communicate more effectively allowing the nerve system to do its job more efficiently.
